Food and Culture

From flavor to stories, students explore how we taste, why eat and everything in between.

Designed in a way that has students write a paper without realizing they are writing a paper.  Every class begins with a question, students answer without any resources and then reconsider their answer after we look at different perspectives during class.

Topics explored; where food comes from, food and technology, why we like what we like, what is cooking, strange food and how to sell it

Tools to gather new information: lectures, discussions, podcasts with transcripts, videos and documentaries

***This guidebook took some extra collation after printing.  Random groups were predetermined so there were 16 different versions of the book in order to make this work.***
